Lonely Heart

by Heather M Craig   May 19, 2005

--personified poem of my heart. --Another free verse, sorry, you guys=(

Always shielded behind
a mask of strengthened armor,
she's protected from the evil spirits
that try to engulf her vast allure.
Behind the bars that uphold her cage,
she whispers to be saved,
but the whispers only pierce her soul
as the cage can't be reached.
Lost, looking for justice
awaiting to be set free.
No one can touch the thin liner
that beholds the truth of she.
