Burning Feelings

Burning feelings,
That blaze inside.
I thought it was love,
But my thoughts lied.

Anger consumes,
There is no room for fear.
I have no love left,
My heart doesn't exist here.

Lying and betrayal;
It haunts my dreams
There is no laughter,
Just anguished screams.

Darkness falls
Inside this soul.
The raging fires
Are under control.

They stay subdued,
Life trickles on.
I hide myself,
'Til this anger is gone.
