A Certain Someone

When we first met I thought it was love at first sight,
You came up to me, sat in my lap, and asked how I was.
I was instantly astonished by your looks and first impression,
At first, I thought it was a dream, but quickly realized it was real.
As years passed and by the numerous amounts of time we spent together,
I grew on to you more than I anticipated.
You started to make me feel special and loved around you,
My feelings for you continued to grow stronger.
My friends told me how much of a fool I was for falling for you,
And now that it is past on gone I can see why.
After many bad dates I realized I was merely a toy for you,
You stood me up, broke it off for unknown reasons and began
to ignore me while I was around.
My heart was slowly breaking for the first time in my life,
You would only come to me when no one else would.
You flattered me with your words then easily played with my feelings,
I heard the stories of other guys and countless nights of ignoring my phone calls.
You continued to lie to me and tell me you didn't know why these things where happening,
But through rumors and friends I found out the truth,
I was just another one of your boy toys to make you feel special when the others wouldn't.
Now that all is past and gone, I can still say I have feelings for you and always will.
I feel bad for ever thinking that somone such as you could be that certain someone.....
