You know that feeling
When you lose a friend.
Someone very dear to you
And close to your heart.
They're all you can think of,
Memories and how to get them back.
You loved them and listened to them,
Helped them through the hard times.
You still remember how you met
That early afternoon,
Not so long ago.
You wish you could go back
To change who you are
Or what happened.
But you can't and you'll do anything
To get your friend back,
Right where they belong,
By your side.
