My Heart Holds On

by Ð맆îñ¥   May 20, 2005

Free my aching words and let me go
Too much agony within me
Why do you persist to crush me down?
How is it you do not see?

I’m caught in a silken thread
A trap set for my heart
You keep cutting me down
I’m finished before I can start

You have always known how I feel
Yet you increased your attack
Precision and details are noted
How it is love you lack

I have always given you my love
Nothing else has strayed on your path
And I have kept on searching
Always seeking your laugh

You light up my day
But darkness you also bring
For you neglect me every time
Desert me for anything

In my wildest of dreams
A kiss is returned
Love is a gift
Not something earned

Only you can set me free
But it’s always you who buries me

    prehaps

Only you can set me free
But it’s always you burdening me

    I dunno...
I just think the whole thing in general is class, but I'm not keen on the last line.
