Dread

by Avellana   May 20, 2005

When I'm close to the edge and it's so close you could touch
When the memories take over and i want it so much
When i look with wide eyes and see only fear,
When the blood rushes forward and the end is so near,
To the silence, the peace of a life with no pain,
To the future so bright you feel golden rain,
But it's the day that you leave my nightmares will come true,
When i wake up and find my first thought wasn't you.

This is about my best friend, who may be leaving school next year. she's always been there to pick me up and make me laugh. The thought of not seeing her... She drives me nuts.
