You n Me

by RCM   May 20, 2005

Two little birdies sitting in a tree
One named you and one named me
Me little birdie turned to you
Gave you a kiss and away me flew
You was happy me was too
You flapped her wings and flew away too.
Two little birdies so in love
High in a tree with the sun above
Two little birdies cooing cooee
Two little birdies named you and me
You turned to me and said should we
Me turned to you and said why not
You and me sort of forgot
Now we're in trouble, our lives are in ruin
Started a family way too soon
Dropped out of school, me got a job
Life’s all a shambles why didn’t me shut his gob.
Me and you sitting all alone
Not quite children not fully grown
Wish we didn’t wish we could
Turn back the clock, wish we’d been good.
