I Wanted To...

I was in your loving arms, just lying there with you,
but somehow now we are apart, but you know I always wanted to,
I always wanted to love you for everything you are,
I wanted to love you and treat you like a star,
yet somehow we are no more, and the love does not exist,
somehow life has thrown such an unexpected twist,

I wanted to love you for the rest of time,
I wanted to love you no matter how many mountains I had to climb,
I wanted to love like there would be no tomorrow,
I wanted to love you but now I'm just filled with sorrow,

So now I'm sitting here, trying to figure out what went wrong,
I've been sitting here thinking for so long,
I always wanted to, but I couldn't make myself,
love isn't something that you can just pick up off a shelf,
I never thought it would end, but I'm standing here,
I know I can't pretend, because you are no where near,

I wanted to love you that's all I wanted to do,
I wanted to be loved by you,
I wanted to stay in that moment and never have it end,
I wanted to so badly and now that it's over I can't comprehend...
