Home is Where the Heart Is

It's the end of my highschool years.
Leaving this place with just memories.
Motivated by so many caring friends.
I hate to go, but this is the end.

Each of you I'll carry in my heart.
Something that no one can take away.
All of my friends are special you see.
So saying goodbye, It's hard for me.

I'll be missing you all so very much.
Thinking about all the times we've had.
Sorry to leave earlier than the rest.
I have to do this, it's for the best.

Made it to the top of these stairs.
Up ahead are the doors to my future.
I'm so scared that I'll go in alone.
But Mississauga will always be my home.

** This poem was written because I'm leaving highschool as a graduate, and because i don't wanna forget anyone, or anything. I wrote this extremely depressed and the tears kinda smudged the ink. Anyways, please read and comment **

    I liked it, and the rhyme was interesting, ABCC. However, I think that this poem lacks a lot of the details that are present in your current poems. I haven't read enough of your old ones to say whether or not that is true in general for them, but speaking specifically, I think that you've improved from the viewpoint of this poem -- you've become more original, more personalize. I will say that a detail I did enjoy was the inclusion of your town name, that was a nice touch.

    Awww wow. That kinda reminded me when I left school, But it was different, Cause I was expelled. And I used to hate going to school and when I found out I was getting kicked out, I didn't wanna leave and now I miss it lots.

    Anyways back to the poem, It was good! Theres nothing wrong with it, I don't think. It's just really good. ^_^ 5/5
