Good-bye

by Brittney   May 21, 2005

I have given you so many chances,
To do it all over again,
But you always go back
To the wrong friends.

You ask what is wrong,
And why I’m acting weird,
But really it is you.
This I have always feared.

We used to be so close,
But quickly drifted apart,
You did not want the chance,
To give your life a new start.

Do you remember?
When we rode bikes in the rain?
Or all those times I was there for you,
Whenever you were in pain.

Remember when we were dumb-dumb sisters,
Best friends until the end.
We were always there for each other,
With a caring heart to lend.

I guess this was not enough,
At least not for you,
I guess our friendship was nothing,
Never meant a thing to you.

You started hanging out,
With the wrong crowd.
How cam you do this?
You can not be proud!

You go out and party,
And come to school high,
I really do not want to do this,
But I must say good-bye.

I have given you enough chances,
To turn your life around,
But it seems that you only care,
About the new friends you have found.

They do not really care about you,
They could careless.
They don’t care if your life is ruined,
Or if its one big mess.

So why do you hang out with them?
And not your friends that care?
How do you put yourself through it?
It doesn’t seem fair.

So for now I say good-bye,
Until you change your ways,
Until you want your friends back,
I’ll stay far, far away.
