Love

by Spongebob   May 21, 2005

As the soft fuzzy litter,
of new born kittens
Meow and cuddle
close together
by their mom's side
they shall never part
the love they share grows fuller each day
as children watch
with great envie
growing in their hearts
the young kittens
wabble when they walk
oh how they wish
one of those "darling" kittens
would be theirs
to hold to cuddle
to watch grow
and then one day
it is planed the young shall be sold
a sign is posted
kittens a dollar each
children gather and watch
picking their prize
like toys
the young are seperated
brother bonds are broken
sisterhoods crash down
humans step and crush the love between these kittens
each kitten carried opposite ways
they have been sold
no longer will their love grow
look what humans have destroyed
without knowing it
as I sit and type this up
I wish it were not true
but the sad truth is...
it is true
