Another Day

You used to tell me that,
You would never leave.
Some how I knew that you
Weren't right for me.
Yet I held your hand,
And stayed by your side,
Now late at night,
All I can do is cry,
Wiping away my tears,
Trying to hold back my fears,
And asking why.

Why did you,
Have to go,
How could you,
Say no,
I gave you my hand,
My heart, my life,
How could you say that this wasn't right,
You turned away,
Don't think I can live another day.

So sad to see,
The dawn of a new day,
So hard to be,
Perfect in every way,
The perfect hair and the perfect clothes,
A chapter in my life,
That I wish to close.
Goodbye my friends,
Can't stand to see you again,
An icon of self indulgence,
Is all I am,
Goodbye.
