I can see all the hurt,
I can see all the pain.
I can hear you cries,
But I’m screaming without gain.
I can see your cuts,
And I can feel your scars.
I can hear your pleas,
But all you cause is harm.
Pain that’s unrelenting,
Screams that pierce the night.
Salt that burns your skin,
Knives that slice my fright.
Sleeping away so soundly,
Yet chocking on a dream.
Ice that bites like fire,
Blood running like a stream.
Eyes that cry for help,
Are muffled by your pride.
Arms bare all the marks,
Yet all you do is hide.
You say that you are ready,
You say all you need is time.
But you still act the same,
You’re still ages far from fine.
We’ve been taught it all our lives,
It grinds into our brains.
You seem quite content to forget it,
Yet we worry just the same.
I guess the rule doesn’t apply to you,
It’s effects won’t be the same.
Do unto other as you do unto yourself,
But you still cause us nothing but pain.
