Why is it??

Why is it that i cried everyday?
why is it that i was so sad?
why is it that i cant be happy
when life is not that bad?

why is it that i was so upset?
that made me do what i did?
why is it that i forced myself
to leave when i was still a kid?

why is it that i harmed myself?
and made myself bleed?
why is it that i had a sad feeling?
one that would not leave?

why is it that i took a knife?
the sharpest one we had
and used it to slit my wrist
just because i was sad?

why is it that i left my family?
with not even a goodbye?
why is it that when they found me
all they could do was cry?

why is it that i killed myself?
you silently ask yourself and me
it was because i was trapped inside myself
so i found the key and set myself free.
