Colours

Many different colours, traffic lights through a troubled mind
Blues calm and cool as the ocean, keep me alive
Wash over me with tears of deep sapphire
Cyan paintings give me a smile and a way to strive

Many different rainbows and sheets of beauty
The yellow gives me hope, rays of sunlight pour over me
Amber traps my smile, a true feeling of release
Whilst daffodils wilt in a place they should not be

Many different images, master pieces of escape
The purple makes me lose myself sink into the shadow
Violet imprints keep me awake midnight hours
Lavender sends me into slumber, yet I cannot find a flow

Many different windows lead a bridge deep into failure
The black reminds me and drags me back home
Ebony agony, from all the death and hatred
Sinister when I am crying, terrified and alone

Many different passages leading into depths unknown
The red is my blood sliding down my pallid skin
Scarlet terror, an escape which I run from
Crimson regret every time I slice into sin

Many different smiles, yet all seem so forced
The greens make me sober, make me dance away my pain
Emeralds spike through the skies of blanketed fear
Jade explodes through me, as I cry once again

Many different people coming in and out my mind
The grey snaps me back to my reality, my life
Reminds me of the feelings I could not grasp
As I slide to the floor, so numb without my knife
