You and Her

by Krispie   May 22, 2005

You said we'd be best friends forever,
We'd grow old together, raise our children side by side
I guess that things change though
And you no longer confide.

Its her you run to, when you need to cry
Its her who now knows you inside and out
We may live in the same space
But we are not friends anymore, all we do is shout.

Sometimes I wonder if you even realize that I'm still alive
All you seem to to care about is whether she's alright
You treat me like a stranger
And I try to hold back all the anger, to keep from a fight.

I still have those dreams, of us growing old,
Always believing that we'd be the best of friends
But I guess it was all just a lie
Because everything good usually ends.
