Silence

Why is it people stop talking, and asks some one else to share as they listen
when did everyone become afraid of hearing themselves, when was silence a mission

even I have played a roll in this hypocritical game
i ask people to talk to me, afraid to tell them my own shame

we need to speak up, and let our voices be heard by our own ears
we must comfort ourselves and tell us our own fears

we cannot hide, and listen to what others have to say
speak to ourselves, and it will be easier to live through the day

some people understand this, and do things right
but others donut, and play along with this hypocrisy, as they hide from the light

enough of people wanting silence, and asking people to share
ignoring ourselves, when for ourselves we really need to care
