Shatter.

by Daphne Darling   May 23, 2005

Shatter.

When all truths will die untold,
It's all I can do to stop the flows,
And not jump right over the edge,
The cliff looms, and I’ll just fall.

I'll let the failures shine for you,
And hope to the Gods it lasts,
As I can't find the words to confess,
I love you and blame it all on you.

Shatter on the inside,
Hide away all the childish fears,
And lie faithfully to me,
As I believe every word.

Tainted in the lies you sew,
It’s not like I wanted to fall,
I just closed my eyes to it all,
And let natures will roam free.

I'll just put up strong walls,
And wonder if anyone could break through,
I'll let the nights drag me by,
And submit to their every whim.

Shatter on the inside,
Hide away all the childish fears,
And lie faithfully to me,
As I believe every word.

Distance is your lie to me,
It fills the empty abyss,
I can still glimpse inside you,
And I can’t stop the flows now.

Shatter on the inside,
Hide away all the childish fears,
And lie faithfully to me,
As I believe every word.
