Who Killed My Father?

by samuel   May 23, 2005

Who killed my father,
Will he kill me too?
What would my father
Have done for me
If he were alive?
He would have given me
The best education
And secured me a job,
But I can do both on my own.
The proof of success
Is that though they
Have killed him
I still got educated,
Will still get a job
Marry, make money
And become the best I can.
I know who killed my father
And I pray that he be killed too;
I have not lost anything,
I will still be all I was meant to
And then my father's murderer
Will be shamed.
His hope was that
If papa died I would be useless
But I am not;
His plans have failed,
It is now his turn to die
So his children can be the ones
To bear the brunt of uselessness.
