Pain over Pleasure

by Xavier   May 23, 2005

Take the pain for the pleasure,
This place is harsh and unforgiving,
Look around and take a measure,
Of the was we have been living.

The enduring curse of blindness,
Has taken over me,
I cannot see in the darkness,
Forever lost I shall be.

Mixed emotions are unending,
Twisted lines of different thought,
Tangled web of my own making,
In this trap I am caught.
