You left the world so young

by Jacob Emery   May 23, 2005

You left the world so young
But now among you are the angels
You left so many people sad and in dispair
It hurts knowing that you are not there
Your desk is now empty
Your locker now clean
The smile people remember is unseen
Your laughter that echoed down the halls
Is now locked inside these walls
No one expected you to ever go
But everyone wants you to know
That you will be missed
You were the last one i thought would leave
If only there were someway to retrieve your last few breaths
I remember playing football on the field
Your trophies are now concealed in a memoriam that is on display
Leading the way to your casket where you now lay
People are crying and asking why
I can only lie and say it was your time to go
So many people want you to still be here
They want you to be near
You did not deserve to die
But in the end everyone you love
ends up asking why
Its ok to cry
They will all see you once again
Then they might begin to realize
Death is something you have to overcome
but for some its harder
You will be happier where you are now
Somehow people will deal with your death
but it will always hurt knowing you're
the one who took away your own breath
