What you Don't see

by Just Me   May 24, 2005

On the outside you see
what isn't real
happiness and joy
pours out from my mouth
but what you don't see
is the pain inside of me
the secret shout
from beneath the mask
you see good grades
and a perfect child
but what you don't see
is the cracks of stress
of a burden set to heavily and unjustly
upon my shoulders
you see the happy smiles
and cute dimples
that streak across my face
but what you don't see
is hidden tears
and frowns
hidden deep below
you see the clean shelves
and organized plans
but what you don't see
is the chaos and misery
you see the happy jumps
and shouts of glee
but what you don't see
is the dragging feet
and the lonely mumble

Sorry it isn't done I will finish it later i am too tired to finish it
