Without A Friend Like You

As time goes on,
And as everyone will grow,
I am telling you this,
Just so that you will know.

This is only the beginning,
Because our friendship will never end,
No matter what happens,
I will always call you my friend.

We have been together,
For such a long time,
And we will be forever,
Our friendship is something you can not put a price on.

We have been through the thick and thin.
You help make the years bearable.
You make me smile.
You help make it all worth while.

Just wait and see,
As we watch the years pass by,
Together we can make it through.
Without you by my side,
I would not know what to do.

You have always been here for me,
You have given me the support I need,
Without you I don’t know where I would be,
You help me understand, you help me see.

Whenever you need,
I will always be there,
You have helped me in so many ways,
It would only be fair.

As the world comes crumbling down,
We will stand and watch from a far,
There will not be a need to frown,
Because we have our friendship, we have each other.

The grass is not greener on the other side,
This realisation is nothing new,
The world is a better place,
With a friend like you.
