They walked past as he laid,
On this ground still he stayed,
Blue as the cold ocean deep,
People all around starting to weep,
Rainbow coloured cuts and bumps,
Head crashed in with mighty thumps
Life taken thoughtlessly with no care,
It seemed this was too much for some to bare,
In a once loud plentiful street,
Where all the people used to meet,
There they were now crowded around,
Still, without the slightest sound,
The eyes looked up without a doubt,
As the ambulance crew started to shout,
“Clear away please” echoing through,
Bemused these people as no one knew
Carried away defenceless and lost,
For he had brought upon the ultimate cost,
Beauty of humanity gone within,
Still calling out for the next of kin,
In the white building now he was found,
With new people crowding around,
Family and friends, tears covered floor,
Hours past, still tears pour
Why, seemed to be shouted,
How, seemed to be a whisper,
Fallen from so high above,
Clipped wings of this false dove.
Was just a week ago that he had this smile,
Carried around him mile after mile,
Then one day, this no one asked
He thought he was alone and masked.
The machine turned off as he no longer thought
Finally he got what he always sought
In the news now he had mention,
Now he was centre of people’s attention
