Shattered Youth

by Kayla   May 24, 2005

I open up my eyes
Trying to see inside your heart
Trying to figure out what went wrong
Something wasn’t right from the start
I think it was me
But maybe it was you
I don’t really care anymore
Because we are forever thorough
I never expected you to treat me this way
Especially since I told you the truth
I knew you would be mad
But I didn’t expect you to shatter my youth
Things always seemed so great
I figured we’d make it to our destination
But now I know I was wrong
Since with evil words ended our last conversation
I don’t know what to say anymore
And I am sorry it ended like this
I just want you to know the way you acted in the beginning
Will be something I will miss.

I remember my youth – joseph Conrad once said of youth – I remember my youth and the feeling that will never come back anymore – the feeling that could last forever, outlast the sea,the earth and all men. Ah – to be young again

Good write – keep it up bud…..
