I'm Done Fighting

We used to be the best of friends
I thought we would be til' the end
Maybe if we both made the effort
Our hurting could finally mend

But I don't think you really care
If you did, you would be there
I've tried to keep this thing going
I'm not trying to be selfish, but for me this is not fair!

I'm not to the point of crying
It's not like I'll soon be dying
But you know they say quit while you're ahead
And i just can't take all you're lying

I'm done with all the constant fighting
This isn't the life-novel I'd hoped to be writing
And now the ball is in your court
And again i say, that I'm done fighting

ok, i think this is kind of confusing, so if u have any ideas to help me make it clearer, please comment. And if u know of another word that rhymes with "fighting" that would be awesome, too. Thanx
