All ones

by amy   May 24, 2005

I just got back from my solo ensemble competition,
It was quiet some fun,
First I lost my music,
I went to get it out of my locker,
I tripped upon the way,
And when I got to the gymnasium,
The practicing had begun.
I took deep breaths to play the song,
And I tapped my foot and played along.
We were up,
it’s our time to play,
Will I make it or will I break it?
We start to play brain squeaks twice,
I loose my breath and gasp for air,
Now there’s no way we have a one.
We take a break,
then our trio plays,
We play it perfectly with no dismay.
Checking the score sheet and praying aloud,
All ones we got,
Everyone shouts aloud.
