Too were you must, but muse be wise

I walk the path unto the end
to me it is infinity
my eyes are feeble and naive
to all there must be an end
the path is wide and narrow
twists and turns and forks it holds
I cannot complete it but on my own
a merchant passes by
where to go? I ask the man
I have seen it all my friend
"prosperity" is round the bend
but it'll cost you so
later i pass a Wise Man
where to wise man?
you will find "prosperity" by oneself
too were you must, but must be wise
the fool passes by later
where too o man?
go nowhere my friend
another road proceeds each way
these teachings I have become
I sought on the path
but lingered in my head were these
a merchant said prosperity will cost
the wise man said it will come to me
the fool says it is all deceit
the fools name overcomes his vice
the merchant bought by what he says
but he wise man says-to where i must
too where i must, but must be wise
the wise is to what the wise believe
too wise I may not go to where I must
where to then, you must?
not to what the wise believe
