You

Sitting here
wondering when you will call
not really knowing
if you were going to call at all
i wait for days
to hear the sound of your voice
to hear nothing
but the echo of my voice
finally when you called
you told me you were coming into town
i sat for a long time
waiting for you to come around
but still you didnt show up
me not knowing weather to turn the lights off
or to keep them burning on
i waited for years after
still waiting for you to come
as my love for you weakends
day after day
i wait here in this old house
jumping to every little noise
hoping it might be you
but to see just a mouse run across the room
one day my neighbors smelt an odd smell coming from my house
as people pushed and shoved to see past the cops
as a body bag was carried out
you came running twords the ambulance to see that it was me
now you knew how it felt to
be wondering, without a clue
as you made me do for my whole life
till the day i was through
you thought maybe i died of old age
but that was not true
i died of a broken heart
all thanks to you

just a poem i thought of
