My Math Teacher

by Black~Rose   May 25, 2005

The takes his place up in front
He speaks but yet all I hear is Blah Blah
Until I hear my name being called
Kayla what's wrong
You have a broken smile
And I got up and stated
If you could only walk a mile in my shoes
In which is vile
You would understand why I have a broken smile
He gives me a blank stare
He then drops everything
he sits beside me on a desk
The whole class listens closely
Is it family
A death
Or just life
I just sat there with nothing to say
Then I simply said
If you were me You would want to drop dead
I feel loneliness, emptiness, worthlessness
I have nothing
I am nothing
He my scars and marks
He began to cry a single tear
He then said
Honey I know what it's like
Confusion came upon my face
He lifted his sleeve
I couldn't say anything
I cried a tear for him
I cried a tear for me
I looked up and he gave me a hug
He told me that I'm excused
He gave me a card
I walked to the place
They saw the look on my face
It's like they knew me
They hummed
Kayla dear you're safe here
The sat me down
I talked by 6 hours
My teacher came in and saw me
He looked into my eyes and all I could him say past our tears was
I care!
