Along Jagged Horizons

by Absinth Eyes   May 25, 2005

As sunsets started pink fires
Along the jagged horizon
The colors seeped into our souls
We thought we'd never be blue

Dark beauty branches farther
Shining in your eyes of sky
Like fire hotter then summer days
Burning all that we could breathe

As cotton candy clouds shined
And tasted sweet like your kiss
Soft and electric as you always were
When your arms would fall on mine

But then the sun did hide away
And all that love did quickly fade
Turned so dark without light of day
I never had anything right to say

~~ I didn't know weither it was more sad or reflective... kind of bittersweet, so i couldn't put it in happy or sad... I gave it a new title as well.~~

u put ur finger on the most appropriate description of ur poem.. bittersweet.. it arises a mixture of emotions in the reader and gives a confused knowledge sorta look (if u noe wat i mean, coz i dunno if i reli do) anywayz.. i enjoyed reading the poem, and i dun think i shud give u a new title, coz thats a very big part of the poet's identity..
