Fighting Love

by Dawn Ellis Cantrell   May 26, 2005

It was love at first sight
But we decided to fight.
I would catch him starring
out of the corner of his eyes
But we kept living the lie
I loved someone else
But it wasn't the best
Our love got stronger,
Our days got longer.
We had one passionate
night, it felt so right.
At each passionate kiss
I knew I could no longer
resist.
I thought to myself,
What should I do?
I loved not only one but two
I listen to my heart
I tore the other apart.
To be with the man my heart
desired, Which was the man
my heart was fighting.
