Your Fault

by sarah   May 26, 2005

Nothing I ever do
Is good enough for you
I’ll never make you proud
I’m a failure in your eyes
Don’t tell me I’m not
I know you’re lying
I’m a mistake
You don’t care about me
And don’t tell me you do
It’s just another lie
You stopped caring
When your little girl stopped smiling
Because she wanted to
When she stopped laughing
For the sake of it
When she died
You never asked why
But just so you know
It was you who caused her death
It was your fault
But you don’t care
All you know it that she has become
Something you hate
You despise
You want dead
Guess what
You’re getting your wish
As I write
She is dying
You have left her with nothing
Left her to fall
Into the hollow abyss
That is her soul
With nothing to hold on to
No hope
No joy
No fear
No doubt
No sorrow
Nothing
Not even a friend
To catch her as she falls
When she is gone
Far out of your reach
Just remember it was your fault
She was hollow
She was depressed
It was your fault
She committed suicide
Just remember
It was your fault
While you cry
Blaming others
For what you had done
