Moon Goddess

by sarah   May 26, 2005

The full moon
Is the only witness
It is the only one who sees
What she does to herself
It is the only one who hears
Her screams
When she cries
When it is absent
From the night sky
You can’t hear her screams
She is silent
Upon these nights
She bleeds to get by
Blood stains upon her floor
Walls
Window
Mirror
Door
Skin
Are all that is left
When she is done
When the moon is gone
Out of sight for too long
You will hear
Her screams
See
Her tears
Feel
Her blood
As it pours from her body
With her window open
While she gazes tearfully
At the moonless sky
Her life will slip away
As her blood dries
As the last of it pours
From her hollow body
No one will be the witness
Of the moon goddesses
Suicide
