She Was Me

by Shelby G.   May 26, 2005

That cute smile of that adorable girl
Has all turned upside down
Time and growth has changed it all
And now it is a frown

Her beautiful blue eyes gleaming in the sun
Has turned into a darkened shade
The glow in that little girl's eye
Has slowly began to fade

Those breath taking blonde curls of that sweet little girl
Have straightened themselves over the years
And now their like a darkish grey
These changes bring me to tears

I want to burn all the photos of that girl
Its a face I don't want to see
I still can't beleive it, I'm still in shock
Because that little girl was me...
