Reality Collides

by Michelle   May 27, 2005

Blackness surrounds me,
I'm dressed in my rage,
I can't seem to see,
The bars on this cage.

My heart is like a heavy stone,
Beating slowly as I walk,
Down on this street I feel alone,
With no one there to talk.

My dreams are stricken down,
Crashing to the ground,
I look down with a frown,
As my dreams crash without a sound.

I try to scream and run away,
But the ability is gone,
So I walk alone cause I can't stay,
For my past has gone on for too long.

All this collides with reality,
I am "weird" and unwanted,
Can't find a way to fit into society,
For I am not one to be flaunted.

Shadows fall as the rains come,
There's nothing left to see,
There's destiny for some,
But there's none left for me.
