Very well written! I am the same way. I have kept the same things. I have my sons baby cloths and all my year books from grade school up. I even saved letters from my friends I have them in shoe boxes. It's nice to look back from time to time. Creative idea for a poem! Take Care! Brooke~

wonderful wonderful wonderful...........I love the past I have things of mine, my grandparents, and my parents, I lost my mom 6 years ago to cancer, and she is the one that taught me to hang onto things, as she was in her last days at home, we went throuh some albums, and boxes. she reminiced, and smiled, I just laughed a lot at things I thought I'd forgotten..but she sure hadn;t. wish i could do it again with her..............its never the same, so Iwant to share those same things with my son and daughter.................great poem, keep writing....Love ya Becky

Oh Ann, this is so emotional and beautiful. I know what you mean, I have so many of those treasures too. Its definitely not junk. Even my mom still has cards and letters too that we kids gave to her through the years. Some things we can never throw away. Awesome write once again.

that was really nice

I have 2 boxes in my closet. One of everything that has ever had a special meaning. Birthday cards and things my nieces made for me. My other box is everything my b/f has ever given me. Movie tickets, sea shells, everything. I will NEVER throw any of it away. I love it!!!! Very nice write and congrats on winning!!!!
