Drunken Father

by BLaCK_RoSeS   May 27, 2005

I was on poems chat last night
i was only there for fun
suddenly as i was talking to this girl
and thats when the drama begun

as me and my friend were talking to her,
she told us about her drunken father
who hit her and then passed out on the couch
she would cry and wait for her mother

she would think of suicide
each and every day
she wished her father would go sober
and this pain would go away

every thirteen year old girls life
should be filled with happiness and joy
didn't he know what he was doing?
and all the smiles he would destroy?

her mother trying to stop him
but he would just hit her back
she was just a little person
he would yell and attack

her friends thought everything was alright
and everything was well
but they didn't know she cried at night
and her father was making her life a hell

as she let out her pain
my friend and i opened up to her
no one should feel like this
nothing like this should occur

so Janine, just keep holding on
and fight this like a soldier
keep your head up and keep strong
because one day you'll get older

once you get older
you can escape and be free
live your life with happiness,
smiles, laughter and full of glee

so keep strong for now
smiles instead of pain you need to replace
forget about him and live your life
and the memories you need to erase

*Janine, keep strong and just forget about the past, its the future that you need to concentrate on! Remember, if you need anyone to open up to, Nisa (Sweet-Smile) and i are here for you*
