Weeping Willow

by mary   May 27, 2005

I'd loved to hold your hand
We could laugh and joke
and we'd be friends
But you didn't understand,
You thought that we were more
and i was left to the end that had never began
The silence on the other line
reassured me you weren't fine
You didn't shove you didn't care
you didn't leave a word to bare
I thought that i had broken you
but i was the one in two
my guilt peaked to angry
but the anger left me jaded, faded into the back ground
I left a rose on your pillow
that was my silent good-bye
and I'll sing out my sadness
my careless lullaby
My head on my tear stained pillow
head high, my Weeping Willow
