Her profession...

by Emma   May 28, 2005

This is the story about a girl
Who was scared and full of fright
She had been brought in too early
She did it day and night

You see it was her profession
Her job, her role, her life
A chance to feed the family
To scrape some sort of life

She preferred the streets far away
So that no one she knew would know
Because it was a nasty secret
One she could not let go

She would meet him on the corner
His car she would get in
She hated the life she was apart of
Her dignity remained quite thin

But one day she realised
This job she could do not more
She took the handcuffs out her bag
And threw them on the floor

She realised this ain't her job
But someone else shall fill
A profession which she would enjoy
Her life now fulfilled
