Two Angels - One Demon

One in a corner watching me…
The other a human I can just barely see…
Twisted garments of white and of blue…
Both the light and humanity I pursue.

One in a corner to sing tenderly…
The other a human listening intently…
Flowing from an invisible breeze…
Both I’d love to torment and squeeze.

This one in white and blue comes forward…
The other a human I start moving toward…
Fiery blade and bright flaring eyes…
Oh how much I loathe and despise.

This one in white and blue starts praying…
The other seems to be non-understanding…
Blade’s tip to the ground, I hear the sound…
Then even more light comes to surround.

I stand my ground…I will not give in…
This human soul…the light will not win…
I will banish this bright glowing star…
This human’s soul is mine to mar.

She stands her ground…she will not leave…
She beckons me to her spirit…to cleave…
“Foolish angel,” I hear myself mock…
Your power is naught to break this lock.

Then in a piercing and sweet, tender screech…
I hear the young child wail and reach…
A barrier between the angel and soul…
Yes, I told you…this was my goal.

Two angels, one demon…which one am I?
Why does this child of mine ask why?
I am the one the soul thinks is pure…
The brightness of the light…the child can’t endure.

Two angels one demon…to her I’m the first…
Two angels one demon…I am the cursed…
The kid is confused…frail and used…
The angel tried to heal…but instead was bruised.

I banished this Light from my shadowy room…
Returned to the child’s heart my augured gloom.
Now the child will live up to my wishes…
Now let’s see what else the Light dishes.

Two angels…one demon…now what will be?
Why, of course…the angel will flee…
I have won this round of fatality…
The youngest ones…? *laughs* ...Are my specialty.
