I know you

by Content   May 29, 2005

I see you sitting there in the dark
Whispering the words you wished you had said,
I see the tears as they fall to your cheeks,
Swollen eyes learning to be disguised,
And I wish I could hold you but only the darkness speaks.

I feel your pain that is suffocating you,
Your heart beats so hard that you can hear nothing else,
I feel your hopes and dreams, and your disbelief,
Memories being stored away to view later,
And I wish I could hold you but you are asleep.

I am too far away and you do not know me,
But I know you too well and I could drown in your tears.
I recognise the darkness that has embraced you
And I came to tell you to never give up,
Hope everyday. I promise, one day, freedom will be true.

Aw, that is sweet. You seem to be a very caring person. Great Job.
