The Truth, Inside Out.

by Kristen   May 29, 2005

I stood there and watched,
Watched her die,
Watched her make mistakes,
Watched her cry
I saw the things done wrong,
I saw where she'd gone bad
I still let her do it,
I let her put herself through it.
Too many mistakes,
Too many long days,
Too many cuts down the wrist with the blade
Too many shadows,
Too many things unsaid
Just a letter to her father
That read "I love you, but I'm dead."
Dead she was,
Cause I couldn't help her
I just watched,
Watched for the fun,
Watched for the pain,
Watched for the hell of it,
She'd gone completely insane
She kept playing the games
The games that he gave
The games of her mind
Her mind pushing her aside
Controlling the things that were once left behind
Her feelings of pain
Pain making her cry
Pain making her scream
She's trapped inside
Inside her room
With her reflection gone
Cause she's playing dead in her head,
She's playing hide and go seek
She seeks for the things that make her weak
And she hides from the truth,
That he holds inside
Cause I stood there and watched,
Watched her die.
