T'was all Once Well Fought For

by Alex   May 29, 2005

Twas all once well fought for, the meadows green
The once lush tree bark, tremulous white
The night sky black and stars in diamond sheen
The crusades land engulfed in holy light

Twas all once well fought for, the knight in steel
Guarding all, but not the hope, cultures tool
And flowers blossomed to the lands appeal
In a world set with demons oh so cruel

War had but a burden, fought well for too
Shall all end? Robbins thought, nightingales song,
Meloded on,"oh, Humans hatred grew!"
All things we commit, from right to wrong

And finally we too, so soon gone
Twas all once well fought for, so ends our throne.
