My one true love

I wanted to prove that I loved you,
So I took a needle and thread
And I lit a fire beneath it,
Until all the metal was red.
As soon as the needle was ready,
I took it and moved it to me.
It burned as I laid it on my skin,
But your mark forever will be.
It's placed on my body, unhidden,
The one I am truly proud of.
It says that my soul is not my own,
But one always owned by true love.
I know that you won't always love me,
But I'll always want you to know;
That my love for you is unending,
That's why this mark will always show...

*I wrote this poem when I carved my g/f's name on my neck to prove I really love her*
(Yea it prob seems stupid or weird to some people but I did it anyways)
