Moonscape

by SilentAngel   May 29, 2005

Ever wonder how lonely it is, hanging there
All alone, desolate and cold without sound
Wanting nothing more

Than to be heard by a warm voice. Cast
Behind the shadow of another only emerging
When the time is right.

Every evening I sit and watch the moon show
Its gleaming face as the sun retreats to enlighten
One others day and end another’s

And I sit there in a wondrous thought
Process asking myself who created the
Heavens and earth. Emerging with only

The slightest glimmer of an answer I lay
My head down to rest and wake up
To yet another beautiful with a moon
Spread in the wake of a shadow.
