I Would Bring You Home

by Sarah Ann   May 29, 2005

You are not here with us today
Yet we know you’re watching down
Your face as white as pure snow
Your eyes so pretty, big and brown
A girl too innocent to understand
That looks always and will deceive
Words are hurtful, yet not worth pain
You hid it all right up your sleeve
Covering them with layers of lies
Thinking that I was always fooled
Being so blind to your fate of death
And now still nothing was proved
You closed your eyes, drifting away
With every night I shed a silent tear
As you are missed more everyday
Recalling days when you were here
So many times we needed you
with many nights we've all cried
If love could have saved your soul
perhaps you never would have died
But if tears could build a stairway
and heartaches could make a lane
I would walk the path to heaven
and bring you back home again

I will return any favors. Thanks.
