My Shining Light

by Mark B   May 29, 2005

Wandering alone the treacherous path of life,
A beaming light emerges to guide me through the strife.

Beaming eyes, glistening skin, she stands like a goddess.
Not only myself but the world does she bless.
With every step she takes, she leaves a glowing imprint
Of hope, strength. Every moment
Her every breath is a miracle to me
From the pains of the world am i free

My shining light,
Like an angel in the sky, glistens bright.

Good one, Mark. Though I'm not great by any stretch of the imagination, I'd like to just say be careful of the flow. Sometimes on syllable throws off a good feel. I wrote a lot of poems to the same effect as this one, so look me up sometime. Keep it up.
