Among the Midst

by Peter Williams   May 29, 2005

Here I am,
In the middle.
The middle between happiness and depression.
The middle between madness and sadness.
So here am I,
Among the midst.
In the middle of all emotions.
Good and bad.
Not knowing what's going to happen next.
The uncertainty...
It is bliss.
I have the distinct capability of changing my mood to how I see fit.
Anything can change it,
Even the slightest thing.
Here I am,
In the middle,
Among the Midst.
My mind is foggy,
Uncertain of its own thoughts.
I would rather not know what's going to happen next,
Then know everything that will be.
I am so relaxed,
So peaceful.
My world can either collapse or come into harmony.
Though,
I don't care.
So here I am,
In the middle,
Among the midst.
The emotions that I can go to,
The choices I can make,
All options are open.
My mood isn't written in stone,
Nothing is.
I am relaxed,
I am peaceful.
I hope nothing breaks this serenity,
This harmony.
Here I am,
In the middle,
Among the midst.

Well, I enjoyed the poem a lot because it shows that people can be caught in between two feelings so to say. Really nice write, keep writing.
