A Silent Voice Has No Choice

by Megan Scaggs   May 30, 2005

I could have been good,
I could have been bad.
I might have gone crazy
With the choices I had.

I could have been found,
Or lost in romance.
But I could have lived,
If you gave me the chance.

Don’t tell me
This choice is right,
To never
Let me see the light!

Because a silent voice
Has no choice.
You can’t even hear it cry!
Yeah a silent voice
Has no choice.
When it doesn’t want to die!

I could have been strait,
I could have been gay,
I might have gone far
If you gave me my say.

But those are choices
That I’ll never make.
‘Cause everyone says
I’m just a mistake.

With no choice
What can I do?
My future
Is all up to you!

Because a silent voice
Has no choice.
You can’t even hear it cry!
Yeah a silent voice
Has no choice.
When it doesn’t want to die!

Maybe someday you will see,
There was so much more to me.
You might even hear my voice,
Maybe then I’ll have a choice.

Because a silent voice
Has no choice.
You can’t even hear it cry!
Yeah a silent voice
Has no choice.
When it doesn’t want to die!
